Styling in Sin City
What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, unless you are photographed by Car and Model photographers of course. The Labor Day weekend was a pretty good excuse to head out to this desert mecca. It also helps that I didn't have any plans set on my calendar either.
The Rio was the perfect venue to host the event. This casino has a vibe about it that draws the crowds. The action was hot, the entertainment was hotter and the models that they had at Lux5 were cute and sexy.
The ballroom in which the show was held was a little smaller than the other venues in their tour, but it had its own intimacy in its size. The main showcars at the event were a Saleen S7 and a Koenigsegg CCR. These are two very exotic street legal cars that are usually displayed behind velvet ropes at car shows. But here they were, sitting pretty in a ballroom without the velvet ropes and available for the event's guests to look at them up close and personal. When you are next to these two cars, you marvel at its lines, its power, and their attention to detail. And if you are willing to drop down at least $600,000 it had better have refined details in its fit and finish as well as performance.
A handful of fashion shows were showcased at the event as well as the search for Miss Lux Vegas which was hosted by Ursula Mayes.
