On its 8th anniversary, Importfest remains "the biggest and baddest" import car show in Canada. Due to its popularity, the organizer decided to run two shows this year. The first one was an outdoor venue in May and the second one, the season finale, was hosted indoors at the Metro Toronto Convention Center.
Despite the slowdown in the economy, this year's turnout remained exceptionally high. This was evident by the consistent large crowd gathered around the stage area, watching live performances and waiting for prizes to be given out. Two fans that stayed at the front of stage all day were awarded with racing car seats and a carbon fiber car hood. The feature event of the night, the Importfest lingerie fashion show, attracted even more people to the stage area. With the high-energy crowd screaming when models wearing intimate outfits walked down the runway, the show ended on a positive note.
